So MTV Australia rolled into town to hold a big air comp in conjunction with Jagermeister and Hilton hotels in Niseko Village. So me and the gang went over to check it out today and drink some beers. The jump was, in my opinion, pretty sketchy but all the rider seemed to be doing alright. The whole thing was set up on a flat area at the bottom of the ski slope, so flat that the riders had to be pulled in by sleds to get speed. Plus the light was realllly flat and it was drizzling, making the snow feel like a day at Mt Buller. See what i mean about sketchy? And to make matters worse, the commentators were a bit annoying on the mic's.

There were 2 pros there, Kayle Jtephens, and Johnny Lyall who were doing alright, mostly throwing 5's and 7's, but it was the Japanese crew who were going big, especially the dude who won.
So its taken 4 seasons, more park jumps, rails, drunken stunts, and dropping chairlifts than i can remember, but i finally got the front cover of the local Niseko magazine 'Powder life'.

I figured whilst i cant shred i might as well do something productive so i whipped up a little video of fun snowboarding clips i had. My ribs are still really sore so its not looking like ill be back on the board in a hurry....shitballs.
