Hey guys. I have been a bit slack with the blog lately as i was between seasons hanging in melbourne before the asia trip. I dont have my comp with me so i dont have access to my blog, and regular updates arent easily done. But i got hold of my friends computer today and threw one together. im not able to do lots of sweet music and special effects and stuff so its just a few clips thrown together. We are in Bali til monday when we fly to bangkok to meet up with more crew from japan, then we fly down to the gulf of thailand to go scuba diving for 5 days.....RAD!!

Robbie Walker

Im posting up a little clip of an Aussie snowboarder named Robbie Walker. It shows the lead up to a contest he was invited to in Innsbruck a few weeks ago. I always thought that going to such a massive contest like this would be super scary and wondered how the riders felt with the pressure etc. Well this video pretty much sums it up. Robbie Walker being in this contest is huge for Aussie snowboarding, its comparable to Mark Webber being in Formula 1. Anyway, i just thought this clip was cool and it made me stoked.

MTV Big Air in Niseko Village

So MTV Australia rolled into town to hold a big air comp in conjunction with Jagermeister and Hilton hotels in Niseko Village. So me and the gang went over to check it out today and drink some beers. The jump was, in my opinion, pretty sketchy but all the rider seemed to be doing alright. The whole thing was set up on a flat area at the bottom of the ski slope, so flat that the riders had to be pulled in by sleds to get speed. Plus the light was realllly flat and it was drizzling, making the snow feel like a day at Mt Buller. See what i mean about sketchy? And to make matters worse, the commentators were a bit annoying on the mic's.

Anyway.

Lovers.

There were 2 pros there, Kayle Jtephens, and Johnny Lyall who were doing alright, mostly throwing 5's and 7's, but it was the Japanese crew who were going big, especially the dude who won.

So its taken 4 seasons, more park jumps, rails, drunken stunts, and dropping chairlifts than i can remember, but i finally got the front cover of the local Niseko magazine 'Powder life'.
